USS Otterstetter was a Edsall-class destroyer escort built for the United States Navy. The ship was named after Carl William Otterstetter. Her keel was laid at Brown Shipbuilding Houston, Texas on 9 November 1942. Launched on 19 January 1943, she entered service on 6 August 1943.
She was one of 78 ships of her class. The class followed the Cannon-class destroyer escort and was succeeded by the Rudderow-class destroyer escort.
Displacement was 1,253 long tons standard and 1,590 long tons at full load. She measured 93.3 m (306 ft) long with a beam of 11.2 m (37 ft). Her designed speed was 21 knots, and she carried a complement of 209.
Her main battery was three 76 mm (3 in) guns.
She was in commission for 758 days of the Second World War. She was decommissioned on 20 June 1960. She was struck from the register on 1 August 1974.
She was expended as a target on 15 February 1976. The wreck survives.
