USS Poole was a Edsall-class destroyer escort built for the United States Navy. The ship was named after Minor Butler Poole. Her keel was laid at Consolidated Steel Corporation, Orange, Texas on 13 February 1943. She entered service on 29 September 1943, having been launched on 8 May 1943.

78 ships of the class were built. The class followed the Cannon-class destroyer escort and was succeeded by the Rudderow-class destroyer escort.

She displaced 1,253 long tons standard and 1,590 long tons at full load. She measured 93.3 m (306 ft) long with a beam of 11.2 m (37 ft). Her designed speed was 21 knots, and she carried a complement of 209.

Her main battery was three 76 mm (3 in) guns.

She was in commission for 705 days of the Second World War. She was decommissioned in January 1947. She was struck from the register on 2 January 1971.

She was broken up for scrap on 30 January 1974.
