HMS Cassandra was a C-class destroyer (1943) destroyer in service with the Royal Navy. She carried the pennant number R62. Yarrow Shipbuilders, Scotstoun laid her keel on 30 January 1943. Launched on 29 November 1943, she entered service on 28 July 1944.

Her class ran to 40 ships. The class followed the W and Z-class destroyer and was succeeded by the Weapon-class destroyer.

She displaced 1,710 long tons. She measured 110.6 m (363 ft) long with a beam of 10.9 m (36 ft). Her designed speed was 37 knots, and she carried a complement of 186. Her main battery was of 114 mm (4.5 in) calibre.
