HMS Charity was a C-class destroyer (1943) destroyer in service with the Royal Navy. She carried the pennant number R29. Her keel was laid at John I. Thornycroft and Company and Company, Woolston, Southampton on 9 July 1943. She entered service on 19 November 1945, having been launched on 30 November 1944.

Her class ran to 40 ships. The class followed the W and Z-class destroyer and was succeeded by the Weapon-class destroyer.

She displaced 1,710 long tons. She measured 110.6 m (363 ft) long with a beam of 10.9 m (36 ft). Her designed speed was 37 knots, and she carried a complement of 186. Her main battery was of 114 mm (4.5 in) calibre.

She served with the Royal Navy as HMS Charity until 16 June 1958.

She was broken up for scrap.
