HMS Cavendish was a C-class destroyer (1943) destroyer of the Royal Navy. She carried the pennant number R15. Her keel was laid at John Brown, Clydebank on 19 May 1943. She entered service on 28 July 1944, having been launched on 12 April 1944.

Her class ran to 40 ships. The class followed the W and Z-class destroyer and was succeeded by the Weapon-class destroyer.

She displaced 1,730 long tons. She measured 110.3 m (362 ft) long with a beam of 10.7 m (35 ft). Her designed speed was 36 knots, and she carried a complement of 222.

Her main battery was four 114 mm (4.5 in) guns. Her machinery developed 40,000 shp through two shafts.

She was in commission for 401 days of the Second World War.

She was broken up for scrap on 2 August 1967.
