HMS Chevron was a C-class destroyer (1943) destroyer of the Royal Navy. She carried the pennant number R51. Her keel was laid at Alexander Stephen and Sons Limited, (Glasgow, Scotland) on 18 March 1943. She entered service on 23 August 1945, having been launched on 23 February 1944.

40 ships of the class were built. The class followed the W and Z-class destroyer and was succeeded by the Weapon-class destroyer.

Displacement was 1,900 long tons standard and 2,535 long tons at full load. She measured 110.3 m (362 ft) long with a beam of 10.7 m (35 ft). Her designed speed was 36 knots, and she carried a complement of 186. Her main battery was of 114 mm (4.5 in) calibre.

She was in commission for 10 days of the Second World War.

She was broken up for scrap in December 1969.
