HMCS Crescent was a C-class destroyer (1943) destroyer, operated by the Royal Navy. She carried the pennant number R16. Her keel was laid at John Brown & Company, Clydebank on 16 September 1943. Launched on 20 July 1944, she entered service on 10 September 1945.
Her class ran to 40 ships. The class followed the W and Z-class destroyer and was succeeded by the Weapon-class destroyer.
Displacement was 1,900 long tons standard and 2,535 long tons at full load. She measured 110.6 m (363 ft) long with a beam of 10.8 m (36 ft). Her designed speed was 36 knots, and she carried a complement of 186. Her main battery was of 114 mm (4.5 in) calibre.
She served with the Royal Navy as Crescent until January 1945. She then passed to the Royal Canadian Navy, serving as Crescent from 10 September 1945. She was in commission for 1,976 days of the Second World War. She was decommissioned on 1 April 1970.
She was broken up for scrap in 1971.
